1) Regarding the necessary cost from airport to go to Osaka city or got to kyoto station which rout and what type of ticket is economy?  Compared basic cost as follows.
JR from Kansai-airport to Osaka station    1,100yen   about 1h 
JR from Kansai-airport to Kyoto station    1,840yen   about 2h
JR from Kansai-airport to Osaka Haruka with ICOCA  1,300yen
JR from Kansai-airport to Kyoto Haruka witth ICOCA 1,600yen

Regarding Nankai-Metro ticket (1,000yen)
To Nipponbashi from air port, it cost 1,000en and easy to transfer.
Use Nankai ordinary express arrive to Namba (platform is on 3rd floor), then down to underground change to metro S (sen-nichimae line then to east nextstation) .

Get special ticket named "Kankuu-chikatoku-ticket (Airport-metro-via Namba ticket) " at Nankai Railway ticket machine or counter. you can get down anywhere station of Osaka City metro station.

At namba station at arrived 3rd floor, go forward- forward and out through ticket checker then usuing escalater down forward and down forward and down forward to under ground. Go forward- forward. At first M (midousuji line) ticket cheker left side and go forward and forward to S.
On the escalater, you have to stand right side in Osaka-erea and Left side in Tokyo-area to pass peaple who walk down the escalater. However recentry it is prohibited to walk on escalators in Japan.

Where to stay to visit Kyoto, Osaka, Nara and other Kinki area.

It is hard to stay in each city because of transit with heavy suitcase. Therefore it is better to stay minimum points. For the case I will recommend to stay Hirakata City because of follows. (1)Hirakata city is middle point of Kyoto, Osaka and Nara. So, it is easy to go three cities by Keihan Railway. Also it is easy to go Takatsuki Station of  Japan Railway(JR) and Hankyu Railway by bus because there is a Hirakata big bridge over Yodo river between Hirakata City and Takatsuki City. So, if you stay in Hirakata City , you can go anywhere of most Kinki area by one day trip with only a small shoulder because of Kinki area is relatively narrow area. (2)View points of Kyoto continue along the East mountain range of Kyoto, from north end  Hiei- mountain to south mountain end Uji-Byodouin. And the Keihan Railway runs along the East moutain range. So easy to go view points of East area of Kyoto. Also when you are tired, always any staion of Keihan railway is near from you. (3) Streets
